On March 19, 2021, Anthony “Tony” Pennacchia passed away peacefully in his sleep after battling years of health complications. Son of the late Enrico Pennacchia and Luna Maria Pennacchia (nee Di Liegghio), beloved husband of the late Patricia Pennacchia (nee Speranzella), father to Lori Minnick (nee Calo) and husband Robert Minnick, Russell Calo and wife Denise, Michael Calo and wife Renee, the late Rose Calo, and Patrick Calo and wife Patricia; dearest brother of the late Angela DiCocco (nee Pennacchia) and husband Luigi, Anna Divenanzo (nee Pennacchia) and husband Italo, Pierino Pennacchia and wife Sharon, Mario Pennacchia and wife Nancy and Gino Pennacchia, as well as dozens of cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren and loving friends. Born in the town of Fontechiari, Italy on July 18, 1951, Tony made his way over to the U.S. by way of boat with his family in 1959. He graduated from Patterson High School where he developed his love for sports, playing football and basketball before finding the game of golf. He married his love Patricia (nee Speranzella) in 1983 and didn’t miss an opportunity to break out in song wherever they went. Tony had a contagious smile, boisterous sense of humor, and zest for life which we believe gave him the will to live as long as he did. He made friends wherever he went and was adored by the Highlandtown, Little Italy, and Italian-American Communities. Tony will be sorely missed by all who crossed his path.
