Jerry E. Zwick

JERRY EARL ZWICK of Middle River, MD entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2020. He was 77 years old.  He was the beloved husband of the late Manuela (Rivero) Zwick who passed away in 2015.  They were married for 48 years.  Jerry is survived by his son, Michael E. Zwick and fiancee Kimberly A. Hernandez, Sister-in-law Emma Jerscheid (Charles), nephew Tim Jerscheid (Lisa), niece Jeannine Lampe (James), great nephew Timothy Jerscheid and great niece and Godfather of Miranda Jerscheid along with many nieces and nephews.  Jerry was the son of the late Louis and Ethel Zwick.  

He was a member of The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Rosedale, MD.   Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He retired as a Battalion Chief in the Baltimore County Fire Department serving at Stations 15, 6, 16 and Battalion 6.  Jerry was a loving, caring and passionate man.  He enjoyed a good conversation about history and current events.  Jerry was always there to lend a helping hand, or just be there in solidarity with others.  In retirement, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grand pups, most recently Jake, his family and friends.  Jerry will be truly missed.  

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8212 Philadelphia Road, Rosedale, MD. with Navy Funeral Honors beginning at 10:55 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to the Mayo Clinic for Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 200 First Street, SW, Rochester, Minnesota  55905, or donations can be made by phone at 800-297-1185 (toll-free).
