Mary Barbera Obituary

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Mary Regina Barbera (nee Nucci) on March 15, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Paul T. Barbera, Sr., she is survived by her son Paul T. Barbera, Jr., granddaughter Nicoletta Barbera (husband Steven Ruder), grandson Antonio Barbera (wife Abigail Barbera) and great-grandchildren Luca Ruder and Giacomo Ruder. She is also survived by many other loving relatives, including the descendants of her four late Nucci siblings. In eternal rest, she is reunited with sisters Giuseppina and Amelia, and brothers Ormo and Angelo.

Mary was born to Settimo Nucci and Francesca Nucci (nee Ciaffoni) in Little Italy in Baltimore, MD. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and traveled to Italy several times. A devout Catholic, she volunteered often at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and was a member of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. She also had a dedicated career in health care as an administrator at House in the Pines nursing home. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling and celebrating the milestones and successes of others. Mary’s loving, caring, generous and funny spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A viewing is scheduled for Friday, March 20th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home of Charles S. Zannino, P.A.
