Shermira Jennifer Misterka

Shermira Jennifer Misterka, age 33, passed away on January 3, 2026. She was born on October 23, 1992. Shermira will be deeply missed by her loving parents, Tommy and Patricia Misterka; her siblings, Jessica, Melissa, Joshua, and Amanda Misterka; and her cherished nephews, Joey and Nicholas. She is also survived by her godparents, Jennifer Blood Matthews and Fred Matthews, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other family members who loved her dearly. Shermira had a vibrant spirit and a creative soul. She had a smile that could light up a room and a caring heart, touching everyone she met. She loved dancing and participated in many dance recitals over the years, bringing joy to those who watched her perform. She had a deep admiration for classic Hollywood icons, especially Marilyn Monroe and Humphrey Bogart, whose timeless style and presence she adored. Shermira also found comfort and happiness in cooking and baking, often sharing her creations with those around her. She attended Lincoln College of Technology, where she completed the culinary program.

Celebration of life will be held at the Christian Community Church, 8009 Corporate Drive, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11am.

Shermira’s warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will be remembered always by those who knew her. Her memory will live on through the love she gave and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
