Suphronia Mae Jones, 84, of Baltimore, MD, died at Carroll Hospital of natural causes on November 26, 2023. She was born and raised in Chapel Hill, NC in 1939 to Lillie Mae Jones and Brency Cummings. She spent her childhood helping on her grandparents farm. She moved with her family to Baltimore, Maryland in the early 60’s. She remained a loyal daughter to her mother,throughout her mothers life, never leaving her side. She was a mother that put her children first in all of her decision making. Her children’s education was a priority for her, so sacrificing her own wants and needs was something she often did. Suphronia was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lillie Mae Jones; father, Brency Cummings; grandson, Kinlaw C. Jones Jr., grandson, James L. Jones; sister, Aggie L. Jones; brother, Robert Jones; sister, Margie Chavis; sister, Margaret Locklear;Kinlaw Jones and brother, Heze Jones. She is survived by her children: Betty L. Smith and Will Jr Smith of Lumberton, NC; Benjamin L. Jones Sr. of Lumberton, NC; Kinlaw C. Jones Sr. of Baltimore, MD; Heze Jones Sr. of Baltimore, MD; William Jones and Susanne Crockett-Jones of Forest Hill, MD; Victoria G. Stinnett and Thomas M. Stinnett of Westminster, MD; Grandchildren: Kimberly Sharma, Shauna Bundy, Tonya Jones, Junior Jones, Benjamin Jones Jr., Maryanne Banneky, Samantha, Amy Jones, Samantha, Nekita Jones, Margret Jones, Heze Jones Jr., Kachina Jones, Noah Crockett, Ash Jones, Magdelene Jones, Thomas H. Stinnett, Megan Kotch, Lucas Stinnett, Lilliana C. Stinnett, 32 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023 for viewing and funeral from 9:30-10:30am. Prayer service will start immediately at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
