Yolanda Canestraro (nee DiCocco), 104, beloved wife of the late Chester Canestraro, died peacefully at her home in Baltimore County, Md., on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. She and her husband, who died in 1988, owned and operated Chester’s Shoe Service, in Highlandtown, Baltimore City, for 32 years. She is survived by her two children, Richard A. Canestraro (Stephanie) and Linda M. Canestraro; granddaughters Angela Youse (Paul), Gina Kolb (Todd) and Chelsea Stubbs (Billy); great-granddaughters Madelyn (Maddie) Youse and Sofia (Fia) Kolb; a sister, Rose Dodds; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the Charles S. Zannino Funeral Home, 263 South Conkling Street, Highlandtown 21224. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 9:50 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church–Fullerton, 8420 Belair Road, Baltimore, Md. 21236. Entombment Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
